Flashlight Tag

For this game you will need to bring/wear: - a flashlight - try to wear old shoes and dark clothing (this way you will be hidden in the dark better) - don’t wear anything that might come off, like jewelry. - do not bring laser pointers or small flashlights (they get lost easily) Rules: 1. Once everyone is present, choose someone to be a "hunter". If there are more than 6 people, pick 2 people to be "hunters". Both will have a flashlight of their choice. You will also need to share names (see below). 2. The hunter(s) will be assigned to a designated "base" where they will count to 60 at a medium rate. The base is best in the center of the play area. Make sure everyone knows the boundaries of the play area. 3. The people who are not hunters disperse. They may not go out of the play area. 4. When the counting is finished, the hunters go hunting. If they see someone, they must shine the flashlight on that person and call out their correct name. 5. If the hunter says your name correctly and shines the flashlight on you, then you must go immediately back to the "base" and stay there until someone rescues you. 6. If someone wants to rescue you, they must not be caught and they must sneak up to the base and touch it. If they do this successfully, they may take the first person who was there away to hide again. They may only take that first person. Once they've done this, the two people (the rescuer and the person who was rescued) have 30 seconds to run away and hide again. The hunters may not tag these two people in those 30 seconds. 7. If the hunter(s) did not shine the flashlight on you or they did not call your correct name you must say either "you didn’t shine the light on me" or "wrong name" or "you didn’t call my name". This will let you go for 30 seconds and they cannot tag you in that time. You may not rescue anyone in these 30 seconds. 8. To win, the hunters must catch everyone, at one time. If they do this, the first person/people who were caught are hunters for the second game. If the hunters have been it for more than 20 minutes, they can choose to call a time out, let everyone free, and say "the next person/people I catch is it for game two". Or they can continue hunting for another 20 minutes.
