You can have two or more teams of 4 or more people per team.
Have a couple of tunes ready to play e.g. Monster mash, What's new pussycat, Hey big spender, etc.
Have your teams standing in a group (not in line, just loosely grouped). Each team must have a leader (with the loudest voice!).
A task will be shouted out to all teams to carry out at the same time (to the music) - the leader of each team must shout out "OVER HERE MATE" when the task is thought to be completed by a team, and they are ready for inspection. All other teams must stop in their tracks if a team shouts out - but stay exactly in their positions.
The party inspector checks out (perhaps with the opinions of any audience sitting around) whether the group have indeed performed the task correctly. If they have - they gain a point, if not, the inspector shouts out CARRY ON GROUPING! And each team can carry on and complete the task, until one team gets the task right.
Example tasks -
Group yourselves into a line with:
1) the smallest at the front, order by the largest EARS.
2) the tallest at the front, by height.
3) the biggest at the front, by size of big toe.
4) the best Michael Jackson spin!
and so on ...by biggest nose... the best singer... smallest little finger... etc.
Great fun to watch others and comment on people's talents if possible.
2 Judges have the final say along with the Inspector. Rather than points to win an end prize, it's good idea to have bottles of wine to hand out after each task, one per team. |
