|
| Posted Thu Apr 1 2010 at 20:50 |
| Comment: It's another name for the game 'Black Magic'- where you use the colour black before using the correct object. We played this is class and I was totally confused- but once you get it it's good. |

| Comment: My family plays where you point to a person, asking "Do you know who I'm pointing to now"? Both the guesser and the other player know who the person is ahead of time because they listen for the last person that talks before they begin to play. It makes it a little more fun involving the people in it. |

| Comment: i've played the 9 squares game with cards.
there are 9 cards on the table, set up in a a 3 x 3 format. two people must know how this game works.
person 1 leaves the room
person 2 chooses a card, along with the other players (say it's the card at the top left corner)
person 1 joins everyone again and the game begins.
person 2 will repeatedly point to cards asking "is this the card?"
the key hint is where person 2 points ON each "trial" card. since the card chosen is on the top left corner, person 2 will always point to the top left corner of each "trial" card before they finally get to the card at the top left corner.
person 1 will get the clue and will guess correctly..most of the time. |

| Comment: for the confused ones..2 people must know the rules, person 1 leaves the room while person 2 (along with the rest of the group) pick a visible object. Person 1 comes back in and person 2 has to say "is it....and points at different objects around the room, unitl person 1 says yes to the right one. So what happens is person 2 says "are we in cahoots?" and person 1 will say yes only after someone in the group has spoken, then the game begins, so person 1 then knows that the chosen object will be the one that person 2 says after the first person has spoken. |

| Comment: This game is also known as "Black Magic". The pointer asks the guesser about various objects in the room, eventually pointing to a black object. Then, the guesser knows that the next object pointed to is the one chosen while he was out of the room. And it really makes people feel stupid when they finally figure it out, and then realize all along that the game name was "BLACK Magic" and they didn't figure it out until now! |

| Comment: I played this differently. When the guesser comes back YOU are the one that asks him, "is it joe's hat?", the guesser answers yes or no. The clue is that the first question you ask is about the wrong item in the right person, and you don't ask anything else about that person, until you mention the correct item. Then the guesser says yes and the people who don't know how to play are amazed! |
